“I’m a history buff and I know a lot about this White House thing and everything,” the Las Vegas Gold & Silver Pawn Shop owner said when Trump called him to the microphone.

US President Donald Trump listens to US businessman and reality TV star Rick Harrison as he participates in a Small Business Summit in the East Room of the White House.
“Literally, he’s going to go down as maybe the best president ever. I love this guy.”
At the event honoring small businesses, Harrison singled out Trump’s tax cuts and the One Big Beautiful Bill Act and blasted former President Joe Biden for allegedly treating business owners like “bad people” who didn’t pay their fair share.
“God bless you for letting me get 100% depreciation. It really helps out,” the History Channel personality gushed.
“I just want to say he’s amazing. He’s done so much.”
Trump’s own remarks were wide-ranging, focusing on regulations, taxes and foreign policy.

Harrison said Trump would “go down as maybe the best president ever.”
He even noted his own business experience, which he credited with an ongoing cost-cutting renovation of the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool by lining it instead of replacing its granite as planned.
The president, making common ground with his guests, said that he, too may take advantage of new tax deductions for opening new facilities when he leaves office.
“When I get out of office in, let’s say, eight or nine years from now, I’ll be able to use it. I’ll be able to use it myself,” Trump joked about his exit date.
“To ensure that you and your family can keep your businesses in the family, we virtually eliminated the unfair estate tax or death tax for farmers and for small businesses,” he added.
Trump spoke after inspecting various small-business products, including “beautiful pretzels” outside the White House East Room.
“Did you know that more people are working in the United States right now than ever before?” Trump said.
“That’s the end of that argument, and a lot of good things are happening.”
